Class Policies & FAQ

KKDW Welding School has a no refund, no credit policy. There are many behind-the-scenes goings-on that are required in order for us to produce our day camps, including securing materials, food, tools, supplies, and more. All of these moving parts are instrumental to the success of our classes, and as a result, we are no longer able to offer refunds or credits for cancellations.

If you find that you are no longer able to attend one of our day camps, you are welcome to sell your spot to someone else, or find a friend to go in your stead. In this event, please send us an email to let us know of the change. We will also do our best to coordinate between you and anyone on our waitlist to facilitate a transfer.

What should I bring to class?

Unless otherwise noted, all supplies and materials, tools, safety equipment, food, drinks, etc. will be provided to you.

What should I wear?

Bring long pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes to shield from welding sparks--anything made out of cotton or other natural fibers is a safe choice (keep this in mind especially when choosing an outer layer--nylon and other synthetic fibers can be easily damaged by welding sparks). Steel can be messy, so avoid clothing you'd mind getting dirty. And for anyone with long hair, bring a hair tie to pull your hair back.

Can I keep the piece of furniture I make?

Of course!

How can I find out about important class information?

We will send a reminder email the week of the class to confirm all the details and any updates.

The class I was hoping to attend sold out. Is there a waiting list?

Yes! It never hurts to email us if you see the class you wanted to take is sold out. We will put your name on our waiting list and reach out in the event that a space opens up.

Do I need welding experience to sign up?
